Our New Year’s badges are just around the corner!

Start the year off on the right foot by participating in our week of (free) mints, which will be taking place between Jan 22, 06:00 UTC and Jan 29, 06:00 UTC.

For this series of mints, we have partnered with our favorite web3 games to prepare a 10K prize pool (Game NFTs, tokens, cash…) for over 680 winners. Yeah, woo-hoo is right!

Understanding the concept of power

There are 3 things to understand about power and game badge rewards:

First: More badges = more power = higher chance of winning rewards

Every badge you mint on Earn Alliance carries power. For every New Year’s game badge you mint, you will be granted 75 power.

2 New Year’s badges = 150 power; 3 New Year’s badges = 225 power, and so on, and so on...

In this example:

• J has minted Undead Blocks’ New Year’s Badge, and he has a total power of 650.
• K has also minted Undead Blocks’ New Year’s Badge, but has a power of 1,175 (she’s been an ally from the beginning and has minted our Discord and Christmas Badges in the past!).
• They’re both entitled to winning a Loot Coffin from Undead Blocks’ reward pool, but K has a higher chance of winning.

So: Mint the badges. Stack your power. Rinse and repeat.

Secondly: only holders of a specific game badge are qualified to receive rewards from that game.

The game sponsor of each New Year’s Badge has contributed its own reward pool. Holders of each New Year’s Badge are automatically qualified to draw from that pool.

From the previous example:

• P has also minted many badges, also with a power of 1,175 (same as K!), but missed the Undead Blocks badge.
• As a result, P isn’t entitled to winning any rewards from Undead Blocks.

Lastly: your odds of winning a reward from a game's reward pool is determined by your total power only at the time of minting that game's badge.

The total power each badge-owner has at the time of minting that badge influences their odds of winning a reward.

Here's another character added to the example to illustrate the concept:

• On Jan 24, Z mints the Undead Blocks New Year's Badge, and collects a total power of 225 on Jan 24.
• On Jan 25, she goes on to mint the Stella Fantasy New Year's Badge (75 power) Her power on Jan 25 is 300.
• For the Undead Blocks reward pool, only her 225 power will influence her odds of winning a reward from that pool. The 75 power she gets from minting the Stella Fantasy badge the next day doesn't count because she didn't own this badge at the time of minting Undead Block's badge.
• For the Stella Fantasy reward pool, her 300 power will influence her odds of winning from that pool.
